New Orleans Audubon Zoo had a celebration for its members called the ZOObilation. This appreciation event was held on Thursday, September 21, 2023 from 4:30pm – 7:30pm and was free. family fun celebration focused on the beautiful flamingoes this year. When members arrived they were greeted by the flamboyant birds.
There were after-hours activities for patrons of all ages. If you wanted to start your Christmas, then the gift shop and souvenir photos were at an extra discount.
Also free were the popular Swamp Train rides, special animal encounters, and animal feedings. During chats, members could tour the animal hospital and commissary. This was also a great time for members to renew their Audubon Memberships. Fees from purchasing a membership that night went to your favorite animals.
To top off the fun event, patrons brought their own lawn chairs and blankets to sit and enjoy live music by Ray’s Island Sound. This was a great event that helped with preserving and protecting wildlife and nature.
