Chick-fil-A plans to open another restaurant in Jefferson Parish which will be located at the intersection of Stumpf Blvd. and West Bank Expressway. The City Council approved the site plan at the beginning of August. Mayor Belinda Constant has been after Chick-fil-A for six years trying to get them to add a place in Gretna.
“When you’ve got lines out to the street, that’s a sign that there’s an opportunity for a new location. They’ve got an excellent product. The proof is in the drive-thru traffic,” explains Constant.
The new Gretna location will have a drive thru that can hold up to fifty seven cars. There will be a walk-up window in lue of the dining room and an outdoor patio with seating for sixteen patrons. There will be parking for forty six cars.
There will add around one hundred jobs for residents. They are not set on a date yet to break ground. They are planning for construction to begin on the new location by the end of this year.
